This story was originally written as the "W.O.W.'s were the Brookwood Baptist Group. I was in error. It is "The Girl Friends" of Brookwood Baptist, a totally separate group.

Thanks for the information, Bill. So, in addition to eating our carrots, what vitamins do you recommend for good eyesight?

Focus On What’s Important

What we feed our bodies feeds our eyes. Many of the vitamins and minerals in our bodies are found in much higher concentrations in our eyes, so a diet lacking in these vitamins and minerals can lead to vision problems as we grow older.

Hi Karla: I'm not aware of any specific programs in your area, however, I would recommend this. Find out who handles senior services for your county. Then, you can call them and ask them if they need the sweaters. Or, if you want to make things more official, you can promote a Sweater drive in your store for seniors or the homeless, use social media, facebook, etc. to get the word out and then give them to the proper charities. I'm sure they would love to receive the sweaters as well as the awareness such a program of yours (like our "Sweaters for Seniors" would bring them. Good luck!

Hi, I manage a thrift store and last year we donated sweaters to a place in Daytona Beach, Fl. I cannot remember where it was and I have many sweaters to donate this year.. Do you have any info on other places that collect sweaters? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks, Karla
