How do I get rates?

Please call 770-736-7977 or fill out our contact form. After we assess your senior home care needs, we’ll provide you with a quote. Our rates are competitive and we charge the same for day, night and weekend shifts.

What makes your in-home care company different than other agencies?

Experience: Alternative Home Care for Seniors is a privately owned family business. Together, as co-owners, we have 40 years experience in non-medical home care and skilled nursing for seniors.

Service and Rate Flexibility: Our goal is to offer the highest level of service available at the most affordable rates. Another point of differentiation between us and other home care agencies is our Safety Net™. This means we always answer the phone so that in an emergency of needing to find in-home senior care, you can always count on us.

How can I pay for in-home care?

In addition to private pay, long term care insurance can also foot much of the bill. Veterans may also receive benefits towards home care. Finally, we are part of Georgia Community Care Service Program (CCSP) and Service Options Using Resources In a Community Environment (SOURCE) to serve clients who qualify for Medicaid.

How do I know what in-home care services I’ll need?

We offer a complimentary consultation to help you decide what’s the most practical plan for your loved one.

Do you provide care to people other than seniors?

Of course. Since 2002, we’ve taken care of hundreds of clients of all ages including babies. Clients include people recovering from surgery and those with limited mobility.

Do you provide medical services as well?

Yes. We provide both skilled nursing and non-medical personal care assistance.

What is the minimum amount of service your agency provides?

We can take on an assignment for as little as three hours a day, two days a week. Half of our clients require our services at least 12 hours a week.

Can you provide references?

Yes. Client references will be supplied upon request.

Can I meet the caregiver before he/she is assigned?

Absolutely! Meeting and interviewing your in-home care provider is standard procedure except in cases where a caregiver is needed in an emergency situation. In this event, the caregiver is placed in the home with a follow-up shortly thereafter from our administration and nurse staff.

What is the main thing to look for with senior home care?

The experience and compassion of caregivers. Because our caregivers are our product, it’s vital we continue to nurture them. That means regular communication between management and caregiver and our willingness to listen. We believe, at Alternative, that our experience working with caregivers and our dedication to each individual family makes us uniquely qualified to offer in-home care services to seniors.
